Rupert has played guitar for 35 years, in various Chicago Blues bands (The Zanti Misfits, Bullfrog Smile). The last 10+ years have been devoted to acoustic fingerstyle on nylon, steel and baritone guitars, exploring alternative tunings like DADGAD. Rupert is inspired by the likes of maestros Ackerman, Legg, Hedges, Kottke and continues to develop his technique. Octopod, Rupert's 2nd acoustic fingerstyle CD, is currently being recorded and will be available in 2018.
Ian Kearey
Ian Kearey
Ian played bass and guitar in the Oyster Band, many instruments with the Blue Aeroplanes and sessions with the likes of Pete Astor and Caroline Trettine. Most recently he is producer and musical director for Shirley Collins. He has run guitar workshops with John Fahey and played on a street corner in Los Angeles with Ry Cooder, and was described in the NME as 'joining up the dots between Martin Carthy and Ry Cooder brilliantly...'
